Injuries

One child fell and broke his arm.  Another child got stepped on by her horse.  It was an expensive week; I joked with the kids that if anyone plans on getting hurt, it should be before the end of the year since we’ve now met our family insurance deductible for the year.  But I made sure they knew it was a joke.  Imagine how awful they (and I) would feel if someone got hurt at the beginning of January!

Between trips to the doctor and helping my kids deal with their injuries – and figuring out what to do for the child with bilateral tendonitis plus other symptoms I’d like to pretend don’t exist – things are a bit hectic around the WarmSocks household.

I’ll try to respond to the messages sitting in my inbox, but it might take a while.  I’m not ignoring anyone.  Okay, maybe I am, but just because my kids come first.

  1. OMG. Hang in there. Not having children I am always amazed how mothers cope with the always unpredictable. Hope everyone mends well and you get some reassuring news.

  2. Wow, no wonder you’ve been sorta quiet lately! Hope the kids’ injuries heal up quick and without trouble. Be careful, take good care and keep your eyes open. All will be well. 🙂
