Menus

Sometimes I feel too awful to think about food.  The other day I ate a handful of cashews and a few slices of dried mango for breakfast, and in the evening I ate a bowl of granola and a banana.  Nothing mid-day.  Not exactly the most nutritious.  I don’t think I would have eaten at all, except that all these pills will eat a hole in my stomach if I don’t take them with food.  Obviously, it’s time to write some more menus.  Planning ahead eliminates the “Oh, no! What am I going to make for dinner? There’s nothing thawed!”

Here’s what I’ve come up with for next week:

Electrophoresis

Every dark cloud has a silver lining.  Right?  RA sure is good for vocabulary building!

Order slip finally arrived for my new labs.  I wonder if I’d be allowed to learn how to draw my own blood… It would be so much easier.  They’d probably think I’m crazy for asking.

Information about electrophoresis can be found at Lab Tests Online and an online medical dictionary.  Looks like there are two different variations of this test: protein electrophoresis and immunoelectrophoresisRA Guy, add those to your spelling list!

I get the feeling we’re closing in on a more precise diagnosis…
